I learned about this organization through newsletters explaining the mission and services available to aid and to assist the law enforcement community.  I first heard about the Thin Blue Line of Michigan at Trooper Hardy’s funeral who was killed in the line of duty and the outstanding job they did for the family in benefit recovery and care.  The Case Manager advised me of my rights under the Auto No Fault laws of Michigan.  She took the time to listen to my incident/case and advised me and assisted me with the proper paperwork.  At first I didn’t know I would qualify for assistance because there wasn’t a death.  When I found out that I would receive monies through benefit recovery that no one else discovered I was extremely delighted.  I was able to receive financial and legal services due to my duty disability.  The Case Manager and others within the organization were very helpful!  All my needs were met and exceeded my expectations.  Keep up the GREAT WORK!  There are not very many programs like this available to those on the right side of the law, especially when we are doing the right thing as law enforcement officers and become the victims.  Many people don’t have the knowledge to provide the services like the Thin Blue Line of Michigan and how to take care of us in need.
